"A story about telling a story about telling a story. A kettle boils, an intruder is on stage, it's someone's birthday, the chairs are warming up for a race, Oya is angry... oh and the secret of the universe is unveiled."
Something From Nothing is a playful and provocative piece that explores stories, storytelling and the notion of performance. Two performers, one intruder, props found in the rehearsal space and the most basic of sound and lighting collide on stage, taking the audience on an unexpected journey of lies and truths, of fragments and beginnings as narratives can come from some unexpected places.
Something From Nothing was presented as part of The Yard's N.O.W.'14 Collection, travelled to Copenhagen as a collaboration with TEATEROEN and to various cities in India as a collaboration with TADPOLE REPERTOIRE.
